CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Vellum Makes Everything Better

Welcome to the April CTMH Technique Blog Hop
For the April CTMH Technique Blog Hop, we will feature the use of vellum.  CTMH has vellum in the Uptown Fundamentals paper pack.  I'm excited to see the variety of paper crafting ideas produced using vellum that we will find on this  hop.
If you are coming from Michelle Loncar
you are on the right track.  In case you get lost, you can also get a complete list of participants at the bottom of Melissa Robinson's blog. This month we have approximately 8 Close to My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using vellum along with a variety of other great CTMH products.  To enjoy this hop is quite simple to do - just click on the link at the bottom of the post on each blog to move to the next one. Here we go!

I embossed the  vellum with gold and colored the backside with our ShinHan markers.  Did you know you can emboss and color vellum.  I saw this on the a tutorial which I cannot locate, but have a couple others.

You can shade and blend the colors if you quickly smudge them with your finger (first tool ever).  Place the glue dots under the the embossed areas to hide them.

Now, hop on over to Wendy Kessler
to see what kind of fabulous art she's created.
Be sure to drop a comment, we enjoy the encouragement.
I hope you enjoy the Hop!

  1. Pretty card! Thanks for the finger smudging/blending tip! I probably wouldn't have thought of that myself.
